John Rachlin is co-owner of Receivership Specialists, a company which specializes in state and federal court receiverships, referee assignments, partition sales, real estate and business brokerage and real estate and business consulting. Mr. Rachlin has vast experience in receivership appointments, referee appointments, real estate law, property management, real estate brokerage and business. Mr. Rachlin has been a licensed attorney for 30 years. Prior to becoming a full time receiver and referee, Mr. Rachlin conducted his own law practice, Mr. Rachlin previously served as in-house counsel for a large real estate company and outside counsel to a number of Los Angeles based real estate law firms. Mr. Rachlin is also the former co-owner and President of Empire Property Management & Brokerage, Inc., a full service property management and brokerage company in Los Angeles. Empire Property Management & Brokerage, Inc. handled over 1,200 residential and commercial units in the County of Los Angeles. After selling the company in 2000, Mr. Rachlin once again joined forces with his long time friend and business partner, Kevin Singer, to specialize in receivership and referee assignments.
Over the past sixteen years, Mr. Rachlin has worked with Mr. Singer on over 624 cases for large and small banks, private lenders, private investors and municipalities. These have included appointments over rental income properties, businesses, partition sales, estates, and construction projects. Together, they have managed and transitioned over $2,500,000,000 in assets. In addition to the work they perform as receivers and referees, Mr. Rachlin and Mr. Singer find time to give back to the community through their volunteer work with Vista Del Mar, Venice Family Clinic, Children’s Cancer Fund, and Beyond Shelter.
